Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated IT Specialist to support our internal technology operations and assist the IT Manager with daily functions. This role focuses on maintaining reliable IT systems, supporting users, and safeguarding company data. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in IT support, with additional exposure to networking, servers, security, and cloud-based applications considered a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
* Provide timely support and troubleshooting for day-to-day help desk requests.
* Hands-on IT services including issue resolution, technical support, and end-user training.
* Maintain and support IT infrastructure including PCs, servers, networks, and communication systems.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and application issues.
* Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot internal/external networks, routers, VPNs, and access points.
* Perform system maintenance and ensure reliable operation of telecommunication and email systems.
* Manage and respond to user support requests via phone, email, in person, or ticketing systems.
* Escalate complex technical issues as needed and collaborate with technical staff for resolution.
* Document issues and recurring problems; recommend improvements to reduce support incidents.
* Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support and product servicing.
* Develop and update IT documentation, including user guides and training materials.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; able to follow IT policies and best practices.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well with internal teams and customers.
*Proficiency in:
o Operating Systems: Windows OS, macOS
o Software/Platforms: Office 365, SharePoint, backup solutions
o Networking: Cisco routers/firewalls, VPNs, APs, network security
o Server Systems: Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy
o Scripting: PowerShell
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Team-oriented with strong organizational skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
* Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
Qualifications:
* Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
* Hands-on IT support experience.
* Industry certifications such as MCSE or CCNA are a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
